Unlike most chaga products on the market — which use mycelium grown on grain substrates, or single water extraction — Mico-Chaga uses only the wild-harvested fruiting body (the sclerotium that grows on birch trees) and extracts it with both water and ethanol to capture the full range of bioactive compounds including beta-glucans, betulinic acid, melanin and triterpenes.

Is Mico-Chaga the same as drinking chaga tea?
No — the extract is significantly more concentrated. Traditional chaga tea is made by simmering chunks of raw chaga in water, which releases some water-soluble polysaccharides but misses the full range of bioactive compounds. Mico-Chaga uses a standardised dual-phase extraction from certified organic fruiting body, resulting in a consistent, concentrated extract with verified beta-glucan content. You would need to consume large quantities of chaga tea to approach the bioactive density in a daily dose of Mico-Chaga capsules.

Is Mico-Chaga suitable for vegetarians and vegans?
Yes. The capsules are plant-based (HPMC) and all ingredients are of plant and fungal origin. Mico-Chaga contains no gluten, dairy, soy or common allergens.
